Inauguration of Ohana

Behind every photo are the unseen moments — odd hours planning calls, the laughter and heated discussions that went into the logo, and joyful efforts to make sure everyone felt welcome. The evening of October 24, 2025 marked the beginning of something we have quietly worked toward for months. Ohana was born from long discussions, drafts, feedback, and the steady dedication of core members who believed this forum could create space for curious minds.

The evening moved between thoughtful addresses, a cultural interlude, and the unveiling of our logo designed by Inika Bhattacharyya (Chairperson, Ohana), that speaks to our values. Along with this, the website of Ohana also had been inaugurated. A warm, heartfelt thanks to Abhinav (Member Secretary, Ohana), whose tireless work turned our ideas into a welcoming digital home.

We were honoured to launch Ohana in the presence of Dr Hemant Kumar, Coordinator, DST-CPR, CUG, envisioned the role building of working together and growing together and Dr Khushboo Singh, PDF, University of Cambridge, stressed on the importance of gradual learning and relationship with alumni association. Furthermore, she also promised to continue her involvement and assist in the initiative forward.
